jf a écrit :Hello,
I'm a french snowkiter, and, with the lack of snow, we (the french snowkiters) have to go to lautaret pass, or other higher spot...
I'm not a very good rider, but not a beginner anymore.
My question is : Why are your prorider (not the only one, but the most known) such harsh with people who go on "HIS" spot ?
My point of view about this is :
A prorider get paid by kiting, making advertisments for his brand, so he is paid by the people who bought ozone kites. But, if people can't go on snowy place, where he is the "king" (with some friends of him of course), why would they buy kite ?
So, the point is, why are your prorider so harsh with people who indirectly pay him ? If he is not happy, he just has to buy his kites like everybody, and don't make beautiful video about it...
If you can answer me, i would be pleased, as i can't ask him directly.
Best regards,
jf
Iain a écrit :Hi JR, thanks for writing to us at Ozone, I am sorry that you have had a bad experience with one of our riders, please can you let me know which on you mean so I can pass him this email?
We can only say that maybe he had a bad day and maybe he was not in a good mood when your paths crossed. We choose our riders because they are good people who want to push the sport and they are in general super nice people, I can only assume that maybe there was a misunderstanding that day.
As I said, please send me the name of this rider and I will make sure that your email will get to him.
I hope that this experience will not put you off kiting in the Col or riding Ozone kites, thanks very much for letting us know, stay safe and have fun, Iain
jf a écrit :Hi,
Thanks for your open minded answers. The rider is : Guillaume Chastagnol, but i have to say, that he is not the worst at Lautaret pass.
And i'm disappointed that some really good pro rider are not so kind with beginners or other riders, and give the impression that for them a rider having problems is a rider less riding...that's sad...
Of course this experience won't push me off kiting, and won't push me out of helping people who have problems with thir kite, because for me it's part of the stuf. And i want to add, but if you put me in direct contact with him i would told him directly : if he doesn't like riding in a crowdy spot, why does he go riding during the week end, ony days that weekly workers can have there sessions ? Or why doesn't he go to another place...
Oh, yes, and what does he means by : "local", because i was born no so far from the pass (may be in the same hospital as him) and had to move away...
Actually, i'm just sad and tired of this spirit...
